Default Don't open new message on Holster Removal?

Please Login to Remove!

I apologise if this has already been discussed and resolved, but I can't find the answer anywhere and am ready to chuck my holster.

Is there a way to configure a 7520 so that when a new e-mail arrives, pulling the Blackberry out of its holster does not open the message? There are a lot of times I want to see whoe/what the message is, but don't want to deal with it immediately or to send a read receipt.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately not, best practice is to leave the BB in the holster for 10-15 sec after a new email and then remove. In that case the message will remain un-opened.

I'm not sure if a read-receipt is sent when a message is read on the BB. Unless wireless sync is on then maybe...

I usually tap escape before yanking it out of the holster.. HOWEVER with mine (OEM old style) I can actually hit ESC without pulling the berry out. That works for me and prevents me from having an open mail if I so choose.

Now, I have my profile setup not to alert me on emails that are not level1. I setup filters to make messages from certain users or with certain subject/body info level 1. This prevents me from getting the ole vibe treatment everytime a freaking email comes in.

How do you make messages different levels and filter like you said?
