Question No menu pop-up for calling contact

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user that cannot get a menu to "Call Contact" (by pressing the wheel in) in a Contact page at the phone number. In the past (as it is with all my other users), you could navigate to a contact, push the wheel in, and a menu would pop up with options to call that person's number(s). It doesn't do that on this user's device now--it used to work fine for him. Any suggestions?

Has the user tried a cold reboot (removing the battery for 15 - 30 second)? Does the trackwheel work every where else? Try the following, checking after each step:
1) Power off, power on
2) Hot reboot
3) Cold reboot
4) Reload the OS

Hope this helps.

Thanks. Please explain the difference between a hot and cold reboot.

My definitions.

Hot boot: Press the ALT CAP DEL keys to reboot the BB. Does not destroy any data

Cold boot: Pop the battery out and in. Does not delete data either

These are my definitions also. Guess I need to make an auto-text entry to cover these two phrases, as I tend to use them a lot.

Sorry I wasn't clearer,

Thanks. The cold boot corrected the problem.
