I have had the 7100i now for about a month. I moved over from the i58sr which I had for a couple of years and absoulutely loved.

I like the Blackberry a lot, but unforutunatly I cannot hear the phone ring for the life of me. I have tried to install different ringtones, but usually they are worse the ones that came with the phone. I work in a loud environment, and I need the phone to be LOUD.

In addition, the vibrator doesnt seem to be reliable, working sporadically.

I have checked settings, profiles, and I believe I have the phone as loud as it will go.

Any suggestions? I am about to go back to my i58sr just for this reason.

Another thing I forgot to mention, the DC is just as bad if not worse. I miss a lot of DC alerts because I cannot hear them.

You might want to read through some of the threads on the Ringtones, Themes, and Wallpapers forum. I think this may help you solve your problem. It will take a little effort on your part thiough.
Search that forum for 7100i ringtones.

Edit: But please, if you do find a good, loud ringtone to use, turn it down when you're not in the noisy environment, especially the DC.

The bluetooth feature on this model is very reliable, and you might consider getting a Jabra BT250 (Good) or BT500 (Better Yet). That way, the ring would be presented directly into your ear making it considerably easier to hear. Besides all that, a bluetooth headset is an amazing way to use your phone. You would not regret it!

Isn't there someone here that has, "My favorite ringtone is vibrate."
