Default Removing duplicate addresses on the BB

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know how to remove dupicate addresses on the blackberry device itself. I am connected to both and enterprise server at work and my personal desktop. I am getting duplicates which I can remove in MS Outlook automatically with an add-in but not on the device. Help or ideas?

Thanks, I've done that and so I don't think I am getting new ones but since I downloaded PLAXO I get about 200 dups. I think I'm going to get rid of the Plaxo, and have gotten rid of the dups in Outlook with a Sperry addin but on the BB I'd like to delete the whole address file and resync it. Any suggestions- you seem to know a lot. I've been using a bb for about 4 years now and was a palm person before that. BTW what do you think about the 9800?

If you connect the BB to the Desktop manager, you can choose what to back up and what to restore. Choose to back up everything but the address book and then wipe the handheld. Then restore the device and re-sync. it will add all addresses that you currently have on outlook and keep everything else normal

That's a great idea, but how does one wipe out everything on the blackberry 7290. I've never been able to do it on this model - it's not like the old one or a Palm hard reset?
