Default Can BB sync with ACT?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,
I am new the the idea of a BB and have some questions. Can I sync BB to ACT? I use 3 contact lists on ACT for the 3 companies I consult for. I need to sync all 3 with all their contact info, calander and history that I keep my notes in. I don't mind using a 3rd party app but I am not willing to pay a monthly fee for it. I am a tiny one man company and don't have lot's of extra money, so really free is nice but I am willing to pay if necessary. I just don't want to have to get a Treo. I am not into those and really don't want one.

Thanks in advace for a newb to BB,

Default Sync with Act?

As for your question regarding sync, as far as I am aware, ACT itself doesn't offer a syncing program for bb, but they do recommend a third party application which can do that for you. It may still cost you a little bit, but you should weigh their monthyl fee or a year lisence with respect to how much this will help you with your business. The following link will give you more info regarding the app and the prices.

Hope this helps!

You can sync contact wired with the desktop manager, but I think the link from bbjames gives more options.

Look for "Companionlink". It is a third party app. that allows full synch between ACT and BB. I use it for ACT 2006 and BB8700. This is not anywhere near as good as "ACT for Palm" which is like having ACT literally on your PDA. It was awesome when I had my Palm buyt I have switched to BB and it was the biggest loss for me but I had to weigh the pros and cons of Palm VS BB and the BB won hands down.

Let me know if you need more info as I have this as my everyday setup and I am also a one man operation- sales.

Good Luck,

I use Companionlink to sync my 7100 and ACT 2006. It works fairly well and is not as expensive as the other option. However, I have tried the other option and it works really well, and has an ACT like interface (a la ACT for Palm), but just couldn't justify the expense.
