Default 7130e / Verizon / Network Question [n00b]

Please Login to Remove!

I have looked at the FAQ's that are posted and the Network forum, but most of the information appears/feels outdated and was posted quite some time ago. So I have a few questions I just need simple answers for...

1. With Verizon, in the US, with 4.x OS, will I have a TCP/IP stack and access to the internet?

2. This requires a data plan I would assume?

3. VeriChat (or any other IM software) should then be able to work, correct?

4. Also, I would be able to connect to an IMAP server for email?

I was getting confused about the BES/MDS information in the guides. It looks like if I have a tcp/ip stack, i wont need BES/MDS to do things on the internet?

Thanks, and sorry for the lameness of the questions. I just need a solid yes/no so I can stop confusing other people when they ask.
