Question Email Download Size Limitations

Please Login to Remove!

I did a search on this and came up with nothing.

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the download size of email coming down to the device? Say for instance my CIO has a bunch of emails on his device that he wants to read while on an airplane. If some of the emails are too large, he gets the "more" options when he opens them and has to download the rest of the message. This works fine, except when he is on the airplane and has to turn off the wireless. Is there a setting that can be changed to increase the initial download size of email coming into the device? Any help would be appreciated.

In the messages window, click the trackwheel, scroll to options, select General Options and switch Auto More to "Yes". Your CIO will still have to open the message before getting on the plane, but the whole message should come down at once.

Thanks BBSpike. He currently has that setting.

I was hoping there was a setting to increase the size of what initially comes to the blackberry so that he doesn't have to open the message before getting on the plane. He usually looks at a lot of older emails that he has not opened yet when he is traveling.

Brent, i have been wondering this myself since the Blackberry Mobitex 950/7 days. This is the design of the Blackberry network and it cannot be changed.

If you click the "Auto More" option, you still have to download the mail as you are reading it. It is actually quicker to click "More All" in the mail message.
When I have to travel, this is what I have done, while waiting in the terminal.
