Default Possible bug with 4.1 BES and GroupWise

Please Login to Remove!

To All:

I have noticed on several BlackBerrys (7290's and 7100g's) that when they are upgraded to 4.1 on the BlackBerry and running on BES, that when an event is entered in and set for reoccuring (with or without an end date) there is a bug.

I noticed after you created a reoccuring event, there is no way to delete the event (all of them) by deleting an appointment unless you go into GroupWise and delete the appointment. It will let you delete one of the events (appointment) but will not delete the rest of them. Anyone else notice this?

Thanks!

I dont believe this is a bug, but rather by design. I dont think the BlackBerry is smart enough to see repeating events as being linked to each other. It sees each as an individual event. But when you delete it in GW, GW does know they are linked and syncs the deletions to the BlackBerry. At least that is how it works with Lotus Notes. I can only assume that it is the same for GW.
