Default Ugh! I can't get my 8700c to work!

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everybody. I recently switch from Nextel (7520) to Cingular (8700c). For the life of me, I can't seem to get Ramble/BBWeather/Verichat to work.

I applied all the settings - I went into TCP-> entered wap.cingular, etc.

I even searched throughout the fourms, been on the phone with Cingular BB support 4 times, they added:

BB UNL ADD ON
$44.99

/BB UNL ADD ON
$0.00

WRLSS INTRNT XPRS PAY PER USE
$0.00

I have the 2nd "Internet Browser" (HTML) finally (after the 3rd call) - but I still get "could not open tunnel" errors when trying to use ramble or Verichat.

Please help! Is there something I could say to cingular support? Thanks in advance.

Is your firewall set to "disabled"?

If your still having issues, try clearing the information in your APN, save, and then reenter the information, save.

Are you sure your TCP settings are correct?

They are case sensitive.

I'm sorry guys. I think I was a little hasty. I let it sit for a couple of hours. Then around 4/5 hrs after the 4th cingular rep added "WRLSS INTERNET" - the phone shut off - lost service, came back to EDGE and all of a sudden Verichat/Yak on were connecting.

So I guess it taks a couple of hours for it to kick in.
