Default Messages Shortcuts?

Is there a keyboard shortcut in Messages allowing you to delete messages without going thru the trackwheel click routine to delete?

In the message view, press the delete key on your keyboard.
If your settings require a confirmation, you can use the Enter key.

Thanks for the tip - you've saved me a lot of time! Funny that this simple Messages shortcut doesn't seem to be documented in any of the Tops&Tricks in this forum. Intuitively, the DEL key on BB is for deleting characters as opposed to messages...anyways, appreciate it!
