Default Disconnected - Blackberry Desktop Manager

Please Login to Remove!

I have been using a cradle docking stations for my Blackberry 7780 for 7 months with no problems. Last week the Blackberry Desktop Manager displayed "Disconnected" with and without the Blackberry in place. I reinstalled the Blackberry Desktop Manager software Version 4.1.0.8 with no positive results. All other USB devices function properly. I have tried all the other USB ports and still have the same problem. I have a Dell Latitude D810 and am running XP Pro with all the updates/service packs in place. As a result of this issue, I am unable to (a) charge the device with the cradle and (b) sync my Blackberry with Outlook.

When I place the Blackberry in the cradle, the message tray displays USB Device Not Recognized

Device Manager lists this device as an "Unknown Device". Device status is listed as "No drivers are installed for this device." None of the standard troubleshooting techniques work. Any help appreciated.
