Default Installing software OTA...

I have a BB 7100t and have attempted to download a couple of the highly recommended software packages (BBToday, berry411) OTA. They both appear on my phone but any attempt to run them is unsuccessful. I get similar error messages on both and am wondering if someone can help me understand what is happening. I have a feeling it is Java related and my best chance of getting them to run will come by dowloading them and using the desktop launcher from a PC (I'm a Mac user).

The error messages are as follows:
BBToday - Error starting BBToday: Module 'net_rim_bb_attachment' not found
berry411 - Error starting berry411: Module 'net_rim_bb_attachment' not found

I use T-Mobile and have the latest software version offered by them (3.80.128)

Thanks so much in advance,
Marshall

i'd take a guess to say that you dont have the BlackBerry Attachment module loaded. you'll need to reinstall your software and be sure to check that module when you load the software.

So, that module would be on the CD that came with my phone?

Thanks,
Marshall

You could download from TMO - http://www.tmobile.com/bbupgrade

Nope; download and install the latest HANDHELD code from the T-Mobile site at http://www.t-mobile.com/bbupgrade

Locate and delete a file called "VENDOR.XML" on your C: drive

Start Desktop Manager (with the BB connected). It should either launch an update, or you can start Application Loader - make sure everything you want loaded is checked - and you should be on your way.

Please note that BBToday says it needs v4.0 to run properly.
