It's still a mystery to everyone. Some get lucky (I have on occassion) but most of the time it just doesn't work. The only answers so far are provided in a search unfortunately.

From what i have learned, Cingular Browsers are the only browsers that can successfully access Myspace.com Hopefully other carriers will follow suit

...considering you can only access it from your PC only about half the time...

...actually, its gotten better in recent weeks.

just to add something useful to the thread, though ... i'm able to access it using my BlackBerry Browser (MDS) on a 7100t (T-Mobile service) on OS 4.1 (HK CSL).

Funny, I have less problems accessing it on my BB than on my PC

and i stand corrected on the browser statement. This is the first that I have heard about it. Good job buddy!

and one more mention, it said that i had new messages, new friends requests, new blog comments, new image comments, new comments, etc., but nothing was there (i felt special for a moment - sigh).

for some reason, i'm guessing that either myspace is not coded correctly, or the BlackBerry browser simply does not parse the code properly - my bets are on a bit of both. myspace is in desperate need of webdevs with some decent right brain activity, imo.

at some point, myspace will be going mobile. keep in mind that they are partnering up with EarthLink/Helio to offer some sort of mobile interfacing. could be a godsend for us mobile users, or it could simply be another one of those exclusivity offerings that 99% of us will never see.

anyone tried Opera Mini?

berry 411/google worked for about a week for me, then just stoped working. if I log in with http://myspace.com/, with the the / at the end. I can get to my home page. but it tells me I have a bunch of new messages and stuff. I cant check them or do anything from there. I check on my PC and there are no new messages.

It works like a dream on the Mini Opera. The buttons are quite different from what we are used to but works nicely and 10x quicker than the BB Browser imo.

It works fine for me, I am even able to access banking site (WARNING: IT IS NOT SECURE) which I was not able to do on any other BB Browser. The browser's but configuration is more like a phone menu than regular blackberry fuctionality.

I'm also on the 7100i with Nextel. I can go right to the site through the normal browser. I can browse, search, send friend requests and messages but I still haven't been able to check my inbox. Get an error.

This message was sent out by "Tom" on MySpace today....

hey this is pretty cool! you can now get text message notifications for new myspace mail, friend requests, and comments on your cingular cel phone. it's like being plugged into myspace 24/7 hehe

to activate it, click here. (or go to your account settings and select mobile settings.) just enter your mobile number and set your preferences.

three things to remember: 1) your phone number will always be private, and 2) we don't charge for this service, but any text messaging charges you regularly get on your phone WILL apply. 3) you can turn it on and off at any time.

p.s. cingular worked with us to get this done first, but this is just the beginning. we're working on a more full-featured text messaging system, full-featured phone applications, and similar features for other phone carriers. woo!
