Well, it's a bit more complicated than that. I have Cingular service and used to be able to send to SMS and receive them from email accounts on the Motorola RAZR. My 7290 was purchased through ebay and all I did was replace the SIM card. What is going on? Is this something I may have to sign up for $$$$ or is there a workaround I don't know about?

If you mean as the SMS addy then you may need a BlackBerry Data Plan to do so.

For tmobile, SMS is under voice plan, and you pay $0.05 per text messege, send or receive. My 7105t can do SMS without BB data service, I have make some setting change initially, under setting>SMS>Network to send over> I have to select GSM. Might apply to cingular.
