Default Easiest Way to Setup BES - I think

Please Login to Remove!

I've spent the last few hours trying to figure out the best way to do this and also reading up on the features of my new blackberry. I have 2 different PCs and also the Blackberry that I all want sync'ed together at all times for e-mail, contacts, calander, and tasks.
This is possible with hosting servies I believe, but is there anyway I can set this up on my own with a dedicated PC at my house?

You'd require an email server with Exchange (several other email systems are also supported by Blackberry), another server with Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) installed, high speed or dedication internet connection, a quality Uniterruptable Power Supply (UPS) capable of supporting at least two servers, your own domain name, etc.

A good setup would include redundant hardware and internet connection for proper fail-over.

IMO, you'd be better off just paying for hosting.

You could set up BES on a spare PC at home. But, BES is not going to be cost effective for just one person. I think the Small Business version is going to cost about $1000 plus a license for each BlackBerry. TNot to mention you would need either Exchange, Lotus Domino, or GroupWise installed as well.

As Jase88 said, your most likely better off paying for hosting.

Remember, please try searching first!
