Default Auto Delete Email Setting Questions

Please Login to Remove!

I currently use a 7250 (Verizon) and our company has a BES to which I am connected to; my questions are:

If I set my handheld to hold my email for 30 days (60 or 90 days for that matter), after the time is up, will the expired email(s) get permanently deleted from BOTH my handheld and desktop Outlook client? What are the gains to having messages autodelete from the handheld?

I do currently have the handheld set to hold messages forever and to prompt me to delete off the handheld and desktop. Is there any performance hit having it set this way?

Thanks for the help!

When you retention period is over, the messages will be removed from the BlackBerry only. Nothing is ever deleted unless you tell it to.

The only performance hit you will take, deleting the way you described, is the extra step it takes you to do it.
