Default PC Freezes upon sync

Please Login to Remove!

This may not be too significant of a problem, as I just ordered a new Blackberry. However, I have a sync problem with my 7230. Whenever I press any button on the Desktop Manager that requires data transfer, it just goes into an hourglass and freezes. The Blackberry still works, but I have to end the Desktop Manager task for the computer to run again. I have run into times where it would do this, but this is constant. Any idea what to do?

I have seen this when you have a lot of contacts...from what I have seen, an uninstall/reinstall might fix your problem (of the desktop manager)

It usually occurs on the first sync and on subsequent syncs it is only looking for additions/deletions/changes so much less work to do.

Try the following :
( on an XP computer )
- stop all desktop manager software (manager and redirector)
- remove the "Intellisync" folder in C:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry

restart and retry your synchs

You'll find that when this happens, usually it fails at exactly the same point each time. The culprit tends to be a corrupted calendar item. The challenge is finding that specific item so you can delete and re-enter it.
