Default New PC, desktop manager issues...

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a new PC and I installed Desktop Manager 4.1 but when I connect my 7100t, it tells me I have no applications. In my old PC, everything used to show including the OS (4.1 HK CSL). Any thoughts on what I should do? Thanks

This would be the default configuration of Desktop Manager, no additional applications installed. You would have to reinstall the 4.1 HK CSL OS package, and any other BlackBerry applications, to your PC. The Desktop Manager cant identify what is on your BlackBerry if it doesnt have it installed locally.

Thanks. I have the hard drive from my old PC installed in my new one, could I just move the entire 'Research In Motion' folder from the old drive and overwrite the new one? Maybe not, maybe I'll just go through the full installs of everything.

I don't think so for the BB OS. Rerun the OS.exe. You can move the other apps folders but you probably have to locate the .alx files and add them. This is why I don't like OTA. I keep all my third party installs in a set of folders so I know what is there and can reinstall if needed.

Yeah, I have all my apps in a folder, I'll just go ahead and move them. I'll go ahead and re-run the OS setup. I guess I do NEED to run the OS again since when I tried adding some of the .alx files to Desktop Manager (i.e. O2 theme, Small Icon set...), the status changed to "Downgrade" instead of "Install", and when I double-clicked on it it said: Current version: 4.1.x.x, Downgrade to: 4.0.2x

HELP!...I ran the OS setup again, and removed the vendor.xml file (did I have to do that or did I F up?)the OS showed up in my applications on desktop manager, but after running it, it deleted the themes and now my homepage looks all white and black with tiny tiny icons....what the hell did I do?

I tried going back to my O2 theme with the instructions from here: http://blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=24485

I edited the Blackberry.alx file, then ran desktop manager, the themes loaded, but when I went to activate them, the 'Activate' option is not there...only 'Download Themes' and 'Close'. The only theme that works is 'Default'

EDIT: It's all fixed now, I used a fresh backup blackberry.alx file and it's all back to normal now.
