Default sbs 2003

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there,

I have been asked to investigate if it is possible to put bes on sbs 2003 for about 5 users. My only probelm is a.) will it work b.) if I don't put bes on the sbs box how do I put bes on another machine and put that into the same domain. Are we saying here that in order to do so I need to buy another license for server 2000 or 2003?.

many thanks in advance,

Paul

BES on Any exchange box isn't supported, although, it is possible.

for 10 or less users, you might get away with putting your BES installation on a desktop-like box. Yes you would have to purchase a second Windows license for your BES box, that is inevitable.

If you arn't already aware, RIM offers the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Small Business Edition v4.1 for smaller deployments. This is less expensive if you are sure you plan to stay small.

regards
