Cool cancelling service issues

Please Login to Remove!

I am considering canceling my bb service. I, a week ago, posted a for sale ad, only to pull it because my husband decided he wanted to give the bb a try. Well here I am, with my blackberry back. What I need to know is when I cancel my bb unlimited plan I intend to sell the 8700c. If I do that is there anything else I need to do to 'clear' the bb for the purchaser? I guess what I am asking is since the bb has a unique pin and imei number, are there any issues in selling to someone else?

Thanks

Perform a "Security Wipe" and remove your sim card. IMEI and pin numbers are unique to each device. When you cancel your service with your provider, they will remove the pin AND IMEI from your account. They do the exact same thing when you loose a cell phone, the process is identical.

Once they do their magic and you have wiped your device, kick back and let the ebay bidding begin.

Good luck.

you dont need a sim. The purchaser needs to be responsible for that.
