Does 'Desktop redirector' work at all?

If so, where do I download it?

Yes.

Redirector is part of the CDROM that came with your BB. It needs to be selected during the install process of the desktop software. If you don't have the CDROM you can download from your carrier or Blackberry.com

So, if desktop redirector works then why would anyone need an entire server for email on their BB?

And, when the Desktop redirector 'redirects' to your BB and you reply does it look like it came from my email or the BB email account!?

Desktop Redirector requires that a PC be left and logged into your network 24X7.

Desktop Redirector only works if you have an Exchange e-mail system - not POP3 or anything else

Since it has those limitations, Desktop Redirector is not for everyone
