In round three, the bricks start to creep with the first hit as they do in round two, and maybe the ball doesn't immediately go as fast as it does in round two, but this isn't enough to make a difference which someone could surf to round four or five, let alone 78 like that geek below.
If you guys are so sure, post a Youtube video of you playing showing the high score. Still photos are too easy to doctor.

Once you break through the second round it is much easier. You basically can play forever or until the 80th round or the game crashing. I was at 890,000 and crashed and just today I was at 515,000 and crashed. It is all about the pills after the second round. You can get to 30-50 lives and sacrifice to get points. It is not bullshit it is many many hours of playing and pain and suffering if and when it crashes.

Extra Lives Secret -
09-20-2007, 01:21 PM
The following has been confirmed through MULTIPLE trials and is for whatever reason valid and may help you along the way:
For extra lives throughout the game, when you start from scratch (Level 1), you need to get the LIFE power up. If in level 1, you do not get an extra life, this wont work. Keep restarting until you obtain an extra life in level 1. Once you get a LIFE powerup in Level 1, for some reason, you will constantly be getting LIFE powerups (more than usual) throughout the game.
Hope this helps....

I have been playing my curent game now off and on for almost 3 months. My score is now 1,249,950 with 248 lives. Once you get past the second round it is so easy it's almost boring. But, getting past the 2nd round will seem impossible at first. You need to go into round 2 with a lot of lives and have a lot of luck but it can be done. Since I have past 1.2 million the game only gives me so much time to clear a screen before it starts me over as if I lost a life. You don't lose a life but it restarts you where it stops which can be a real pain because the bricks move closer with every hit after the second round.

It sounds to me like your data connection is checking for or downloading messages. It can sure mess up your game when this happens, so if you're really serious about making it through the first two rounds to get to Brickbreaker Nirvana, then try turning off your wireless connections while playing.

Keeping motivated after going round twice... -
10-10-2007, 08:34 AM
Currently on 46th time round with score of 776,460 and 259 lives. I find that boredom can set in quite regularly once you've played for a while after going round twice, so I keep myself motivated (sad, huh?) by really going for maximum points each time, and I keep a track of this by calculating my average score at the end of every round. Normally l can get 17,000+ quite easily, and sometimes 18,000+, but the boredom can lead to carelessness, which in turn means I miss out on a few points here and there, especially on some of those 50s. I might have a bad round where I fall below 17,000. My average score per completed round is currently 17,045. I need to up it I think to get anywhere near the leaderboard! Oh well...

Every time I get a good score going, the flipp'n ball leaves the screen. There is definitely a bug in this program. I'm using an 8100 FWIW.

Level Five -
10-21-2007, 09:38 AM
I know this sounds lame to all the upper level pracititioners but as a beginning player I find myself getting hung up on level five more than any other obstacle. If I get through level five with three or more lives, I can usually get through the first round, but for some reason I often squander resources on #5. Any advice? Thanks.

You probably wouldn't believe it but I broke 25,000 and for some reason when you get through the first set of levels and the second set, it repeats itself and just moves unbelievably faster, keep trying. PS: it is nice on those rainy days on the jobsite,,,,,,,

4200 -
10-23-2007, 02:40 PM
The highest score I have gotten on 3.7 is 4200. Admittedly, I do not get much time to play.
While BrickBreaker is a great game, I am really really wishing for a copy of tetris for my Curve.
Oh and perhaps Pacman as well =)
Any ideas on where I can get these or if they are even available?

My highest score -
11-11-2007, 02:55 PM
I finished the 34 levels and continued to play till the 16th level again. my highest score is 25580. My game kind of cheats on me by dissappearing the ball with 12 lives when it knows im going to strong and to far. is there any more levels we can buy or anything?

BrickBreaker -
11-24-2007, 07:25 PM
On a recent trip from New Jersey to Maryland I beat BrickBreaker. My current high-score is 32,690. Since I know people will not believe this amazing feat I will tell you what happens after you complete BrickBreaker. Once completed the levels recycle. The game becomes much harder because the ball immediatly move as fast as possible and the bricks begin to cascade after the first time you touch the ball. Although my current high-score is amazing it is still ranked #3796 in the world, so there must be some pretty nasty BrickBreaker players out there.

I'm going to beat everyone's high score -
11-26-2007, 01:17 AM
My current high score is around 33,000. The highest high score when you submit it is 201,000. I currently have 130,000 points and 50 lives. I'm going to beat the highest high score ever. Do I get a prize? I seriously have spent way too much time playing this game.

Many do not believe 1M+ is possible. It is true on the 8700g. Though you'll only want to do it once, as everything after round 2 is easy. I made it to 1.3M with over 500 lives before the game started doing weird things and finally crashed. I did start a new game and was able to break through the 2nd level again in hardly a week's time - which makes it smooth sailing to 1M+. But I quit at 50K this time after becoming bored. I want to help others master the game - so that they can stop the madness. I am contemplating writing a dissertation on mastering the game. My thesis shall include plenty of valuable insight for novices wanting to master the game, as I have. Here are just a few of the tips to help make you a more efficient breaker of bricks (at least on the 8700g).
In Rounds 1 & 2 - your goal is not 'points.' So forget them. Your only goal is to get more lives. Without a 15 or 20 men, you'll never make it through Round 2.
For God's sake, let "Flip" and "Wrap" drop altogehter. They only cost you lives. Avoid them.
Get through each level as fast as you can. Don't trade your lasers for a bomb if you have a lot of bricks left to break. A gun can be useful, but don't give up your lasers for one unless you must get rid of some pesky barriers.
Go after lives like a crazy man. The only exception is on a particularly tough level. In some instances, you'll want to keep 'Long' or 'Catch' even in lieu of a life. If you get greedy, the game will make you pay the price.
I'm telling you - you'll get all the points you ever wanted in Rounds 3+. The game becomes slower. So just stock up on lives. Be disciplined in your pursuit. In fact, start a new game if you don't get a life from the git go on Level 1.
Importantly - on tough levels, don't hit balls with the edge of your paddle. Hit toward the middle to keep the damn ball slowed down.
Take all of these tips to heart. But understand that 'lives' alone will not get you to the promised land. You need skills. Skills are honed through hard work and practice. Never go to the bathroom without your game. If you don't master your angles, you might as well trade in your blackberry for a freaking razr and start making calls. And calls aren't a very productive way to spend your time sitting on the can.
I hope this helps.

Bullshit -

Many moons ago i asked anyone who had a score of 100,000 or more to post a video of the score on YouTube as still pictures are too easy to doctor. Amazingly, no such video yet exisits. I wonder why? Because anyone claiming to have 100,000 points or more is a liar. I play more of this stupid game than anyone else and I have been around three times ONCE. It didn't get easier, it was just as hard as the 2nd time around. You guys are all liars.

haha no way is it bs. whenever i'd get upwards of a million points, my 8700 would crash. once you get around 30 lives or so its basically impossible to lose. on the curve its way harder with the track ball, so i can understand it from that viewpoint but it really is possible.

All liars? You cannot comprehend that the game is easier or harder depending on what handset you play? There is a big difference. As for me, I guess I just don't care enough about you believing me that I would take the time to video myself and put it on a website. Was just trying to share some tips.
PS - Sorry you suck at brickbreaker.
