Default Score - 12-20-2007, 12:54 PM

I must be the biggest loser, with 26,750.

Use the catch as much as you can after the big U, and use the "multi" only when the ball is on the other side of the metal bricks. On the second go around, use the catch any time you can.

I know that by pulling the battery and restarting you loose your place in the game but what about when the phone says it needs to reboot after deleting a program? I'm now at a score of 116,610 with 49 lives and don't want to start over again.

Talking 14920 !!! - 12-26-2007, 02:39 PM

High score:14920
Level: 29

I must thank the atlanta airport for delaying my baggage and thus making this score possible. Question..... there are only 34 levels. So, how are these people scoring 100k.

Cause after the 34th level it starts all over again and the second round of 34 is harder than the first. But then after the second round of 34 it becomes and stays slow all the time so you just keep accumulating points and lives. i'm now up to 220,410 and 115 lives.

Default Brickbreaker - 01-14-2008, 04:43 PM

Right now I have a score of 405480 with 41 lives left. How do I sign up for my High Score to be registered when I complete this game? I'm hoping to do it in the next few days. This game is over a week old and i'm starting to lose lives rather than accumulate. (The most lives I had at one point was 58).

What you two need to do in order to register your high scores before you loose them is to purposely loose all the lives and have the game end. Then it will ask whether you want to send your score to register it.

22,230. I think I was on level 5 of the second wave. I actually played waves 1 - 5 after it rolled over and started again on my last life....that was some tense brickbreaking!

i have scored 9940 at level 18, my third score of 9000+. Can't break the 10K mark, but got past the big U! I agree the bugs are frustrating, especially the hiccups in ball and paddle motion.

Default Brand New High Score Today - 01-23-2008, 06:14 PM

OK, since I got my blackberry about 12 monts ago I have been totally addicted to Brick Breaker. My high score for months was 30,650. Whatever I tried to do I could not get past the second round. I got close to 30,000 a couple of times but on the second round that darn ball moves so fast that I could easily lose 12 lives on one round. Well today I finally made it past the second round!!! It took me probably over 3000 attempts to do this but I did it! Now my current high score is 39635 and I have 10 lives left. And everybody was right, on the third round the ball slows way down and you start accumulating lives pretty easily. As I am still playing the game I will keep you all updated as to what my high scores are. And no, I am not cheating at all, it just took a lot of (wasted) time and perserverence. Good luck to you all!

Default MitchSF Score Update - 01-24-2008, 11:27 AM

Ever since I completed the second round (which took me probably over 3000 attempts - I broke 30,000 twice and came close a few times), it is now smooth sailing. I am currently at 72445 with 29 lives. Everyone was right, once you get past the second round the game becomes so easy - everything slows down dramatically and the number of lives that you get is incredible. Now I understand why so many people have broken 100,000 and evern 1 million. I am quite sure now that I am past the second round (with the quickness of the ball and lowering bricks) I too will easily get past 100,000 and even 1 million. I do understand now that why some consider it so monotonous after a while. I think I have been around about 6 times now. Good luck.

Default Another MitchSF Score Update - 01-24-2008, 02:10 PM

Well I finally did it. I reached 100,000. I thought it was impossible but here I am, same game, with 39 lives. So, bottom line is, it is possible to get those outrageously high scores if you can just manage to make it past the seemingly impossible second round. My current game is about three days old, and I suppose it will take me another week or so to break the 500,000 barrier. I'll keep you posted. And good luck with the second round, you can do it!

You'll need good luck that you don't have to pull your battery before you get to your desired goal.

OK, day 4 and still going strong except I managed to lose quite a few lives on level 31 (?). Not sure what happened but that level always gets so many of my lives. Today's score is 135,755 with 34 lives left. Still going strong. 500,000 here I come.

Default Nice job Mitch - 01-26-2008, 11:59 AM

Mitch-
here's a piece of advice (you may already know this). don't let the ball disappear off the top of the screen and ruin your game! every time you hit the ball with your paddle, the screen drops one row. so each time you start a new level that has bricks up against the ceiling, hit the ball with your paddle at least twice before you send it up towards the top. that will lower it enough that it can't get stuck in that half-row at the top that makes it disappear.

does anybody know how many times you can go through before it cuts you off?

Is there some kind of a huge bonus at certain levels, because I can barely break 6000. What's with scores in the six digit range?

Default Another Question - 01-26-2008, 12:26 PM

Does anybody know if you can keep a game of brickbreaker going if you remove the battery?

I'm about to switch from T-Mobile to AT&T, so I'm going to have to remove the battery and sim card. The problem is, I'm about to break 1 million points for the first time, and I want to keep this game going.

Anybody? Please? As most of you can guess, I've spent MANY hours playing this game. I really don't want to lose it.

Thanks!

After months of practice have now managed to get to 23,270 the game has gone all jumpy and the paddle often moves enough to miss the ball. Have managed the art of getting past level 16 and nearly managed to beat my high score, then the game went jumpy.

Do I need top reset something? What is the default speed for the paddle etc?
