I'm about to switch from T-Mobile to AT&T, so I'm going to have to remove the battery and sim card. The problem is, I'm about to break 1 million points for the first time, and I want to keep this game going.
Anybody? Please? As most of you can guess, I've spent MANY hours playing this game. I really don't want to lose it.
Thanks!

It will erase your game. I had 1.2 million and killed myself off cause the game was messing up. Less than a week later I had another good game going (after months and months of trying to get one going) but my BB wasnt getting emails. So I had to pull the battery and havent gotten another good game started since, and that was in June.

Help! -
02-01-2008, 12:49 AM
First to answer the question of what the SLOW capsule does. It really only applies after you've gone through the game at least once and every hit lowers the bricks. When you get a SLOW capsule it will stop the bricks from lowering.
Now for my dilemma. Playing on 4.0 I have a current score of 412,640 and 84 lives. I had the ball disappear by hitting a top brick just wrong after they lowered one level. I'm stuck with a Laser and one brick left thats being blocked by a cement brick. Is there any way of possibly killing myself without restarting the game. If not I guess I may be restarting. How depressing if this is the case.
Here is a pic if it helps. Sorry I didn't flip it but you get the idea.

MitchSF Score Update -
02-05-2008, 02:37 PM
OK, so my game has been going on for a couple of weeks now it seems. I haven't had a whole lot of time to play lately since I've been so busy with work but my updated score as of today is 474500 with 90 lives. I had 102 lives at one point but I seemed to have gotten a bit bored and a bit more risky so I've lost a few lives. There seems to be no end in sight and I can expect to be at a million plus points here in the next couple of weeks if I can find some time to play. Good luck to you all.

MitchSF Score Update -

Well I lost my game. My phone decided to reset and turn off right during my game and I lost my high score. I was at 510000 with 96 lives and now I am back at zero with nothing to show for all of my hard work. Darn phone! I'll be back!

With my one hour commute to and from downtown Toronto via the GO Train, I have found myself playing brick breaker way too much.. currently, my score is 243,990, with 62 lives, and have beet all 34 levels just under 13 times. My trick is to avoid the capsules flip and wrap, as much as possible because for me, they are the number one killers.

does anyone else have the problem of losing the ball into the wall whenever the bricks of come down half of a balls width. This happens on occasion, and it causes the game to stop, since the ball becomes lost.. Its a mystery to me.

brickbreaker = heartbreaker -
03-27-2008, 11:00 AM
I was at over 500,000 with over 200 lives-it was going to make history as the best game EVER - and then my trackball stopped working so i took out the battery to try and fix the ball and my score was erased.....it was one of the saddest days of my life. I got a new phone the next day out of anger

my guess is most people won't beleive me but 100% legit
my high score is 26490 using my new blackberry pearl
the scroll ball makes this game easier
and so you know, the game doesnt end
if you beat the last level, it takes you back to level 1
making it easy to get from 19000 to 26000

I hit 5650 level 11 today! -
04-01-2008, 10:06 PM
After playing for 2 weeks now, and about 50 games I made it to level 11.
5650 points. Made it over 4000+ about 5 times, but at a lower level. At one time I had 6 lives and 3100 points, only to lose 4 of them on one play. My gold is 6000 points by mid-week.

High Score -
04-08-2008, 12:12 AM
i am kind of laughing at the score of 4700- my high score is not bad but i think the people in canada are addicted. The highest score I have seen on the curve was 9850 level 16- I thought that was really good- well now I have my new curve and my high score is 14300 level 27- however after you get past the dreaded level 16 then it goes to really weird levels and it gets harder and harder- and the score gets harder to get because some levels have only on brick.
next time you are on your blackberry- click on highscores and look for a name under there
Fern Turner
cest moi
but I like I said I have my new curve and haven't played yet. I dropped my old curve in a puddle and had to buy new hardware. I put in my old SIM card in and thought it would have my old score- but to no avail- does anybody know how to retrieve that score because i can't go down that road again
and that is why they call me sleepy feet, you all know what I am talking about.

BrickBreaker Level Diagrams -
04-22-2008, 11:17 AM
Here's a mapping of the 34 levels that may be of use for reference. Let me know of any errors, but I think it's nearly fully accurate. Note though that I have v4.2 on a Pearl 8100, and my impression is that the layouts may vary slightly depending on version and/or phone as well.

reading these messages, i have two comments:
my high score is 9550 on level 16. took i dunno ... 100 games or so to get there. competing with your 13 year-old can make one very, very good.
and
how do i tell what version i have??

hello every body i just joined this forum so yes im new here. but not at all a stranger to brick breaker! loved everybodys input and stories on their skills. i would love to tell u a story on my brick breaker history aug of 2007 just got a black berry! that first week got 14k as a top score n showed it to a friend of mine who is really good at it. he told me that was an impressive score for someone who just started playing. a month or so after that i beat the game for the first time. wow was that a great feeling. but then the game got harder and harder but i kept on getting better. finally beat the game second time around ( 2x ) for those who know if u beat the game a second time over it becomes very easy n the ball slows down. i got up to about 680k with 183 lives and showed all my friends n watched as their eyes climbed to the top of their heads lol. later on that day i dropped my phone n the battery fell out little did i know that once u take out the battery the current game resets! i almost started crying because i played that game for over a month. did not play for a about a week then started again got up to about 450k with over 100 lives and my phone reset on its own!! i told my self i would never play again.
a few days latter could not resist it any more and started again that was almost 3 months ago n im still playing the same game my current game score right now is 1,770,000 with 350 lives if i lose now i belive it would put me in top 10 on the record list but if my phone resets i will break it in to as many pieces as my score! now for the question i would love to take a picture to show u guys because for some its hard to belive. what camara do i use because i tried to record myself breaking a million but it was to blurry to c n the camara was a 7.3 mega pixels so what do i do? version 4.0

Must be the biggest BB loser... -
04-30-2008, 01:27 PM
Well, I'm currently in game with a score of 174,520 with 37 lives as of the time of this posting...
My previous high score was only 31,680... It took a long time to get through the second cycle of levels.
I'm in the US army, I work at a basic training company so there is lots of standing around doing nothing, and what better way to keep from getting bored than playing brick breaker.
My Tips:
Avoid "WRAP" and "FLIP" capsules, unless you're about to beat a level. Use the space bar to fire the ball when you have the "CATCH" capsule as apposed to clicking the tracking ball, Level 16 sucks, there are a few other levels later on that are made much easier with the "CATCH" capsule, the laser makes beating levels much faster.
