Default High Score

I am currently at 143,995 with 64 lives. My last high score before this game was 31,340. The second time you go through the 34 boards, the ball speeds up, but then every set of 34 boards after that is like the first time. Does anybody know if it will get fast again? I have been playing this game for about 3 weeks off and on and curious to see when it will end and where I am in the standings. Does anybody know where 144,000 is right now in the standings?

I finally beat the software at 1,296,000. When it hits the wall it just says try again so I am stuck on level 1.

My boyfriend told me to post my score online somewhere, and I found this forum! My current high score is 26,530.

I'm assuming I have version 4.0; I have a 7100t.

I'm pretty sure that score reflects being killed in the second U board. This is my second or third 7100t. I know I completed 2 full rounds on a previous phone, but I didn't write the score down.

I totally agree with everyone's assessment for the U board. "Catch" is the best, "Long" and "Gun" are workable too.

Happy gaming!

Hi All! new to the forum, actually found it by typing "blackberry brickbreaker" into google. I noticed some of your scores, and I currently have 22,090 which was level 37, after 34 it starts at the beginning again but a 2x speed. I will try to get a screen shot ( do not know how)

I play about 2-3 hours a day (loser!) but I have some great tricks if anyone is interested. I get to 10,000 just about every game ( not bragging)

Nice to meet all of you!

After reading all the posts, there must be another version of this game on newer models because those scores and lives are impossible to achieve ( I think?)

There are apparently several versions of the game...some much easier than others based on the ridiculous scores that some folks are posting.

I have a 7250 v 4.0. It took me awhile but I have now twice completed all 34 levels, which means the games starts over at level 1, although the bricks start dropping immediately. My high score is 25,070. I can regularly score between 8-10k...but what a waste of time! I usually just play when in a waiting room for an appointment or some such thing. It is addictive!!

Default high score?

I dont know how to tell what version I have. My current high score is 155,740 and I have 35 lives left. It is paused. My bricks are all brown, so I guess I have an ancient version

Default How to win

I wrote my strategies down a few months back but here is my revised helpful hints list. I've clocked the game only once with a top score of 25,700 (which is my only score over 16k). People who score over 1m are not playing the same version.

General Tips:
1 Restart if you don't get an extra Life on Level 1
2 Always pick up Lives when they are on offer. Think twice about Flip - I only get it when close to completing a level, otherwise it's a hinderance
3 Use Gun to destroy grey blocks and lower level blocks in the way (to maximise points, destroy bricks that are close to dead.
4 When on Multi don't get greedy, focus on two balls on different cycles and keep them for as long as you can
5 The Wrap option can be a hinderance if you swing from side to side quickly.
6 Always go for Multi and Long if you can get it.

This is how I usually play each level. Any other suggestions welcomed.
Level 1: Start with 3 clicks to the left. The ball will hit the first and second easter eggs before you have to hit it again. If the first egg is multi you may not have time to catch the second egg.
Level 2: Start with 3 clicks to the left. The ball will hit the first egg and you will have to catch it then quickly dart to the left corner to catch the ball. After that you're on your own.
Level 3: Don't change the starting position but after you let the ball go, move 3 clicks to the right. After the second bounce you'll hit the two eggs on the RHS. There is one more egg on the LHS.
Level 4: Start one click to the left to get the first egg. Carry on.
Level 5: (the one with the single grey block on the RHS) Start two clicks to the right to get the first egg.
Level 6: No quick way to get the eggs. Try and punch a hole through the first line and thread the ball through the gap.
Level 7: Start one click to the left, then move to the far left side to hit the next shot, then move one click over to hit the middle easter egg.
Level 8: No eggs here - just try to get rid of the lower bricks first
Level 9: My favorite. Start three clicks to the left - that will give you the first four easter eggs. Go for it. By my reckoning you should be around 5,000 by this stage.
Level 10: I don't like this one. No easter eggs. I usually try and destroy the two bricks on the far left and try and thread the ball up to the top to cause damage. Each time the ball comes back I keep sticking it back in the gap until I have space. You should have around 7,000 by now.
Level 11: Let the ball go, move three clicks to the right. This should send the ball up the right side and onto the top row. The middle brick on the second to top row has an egg. Pray for Gun or Laser.
Level 12: Start on click to the left to hit the first egg. No good strategy here except try to destroy bricks under the grey blocks. If you get Gun - destroy the grey blocks as they will hold you up later. Score should be around 8,000.
Level 13: Easy. Start three clicks to the left. If you are lucky, this will clear the screen. If not you may have to thread 2-3 more times. You should be over 8,000 now.
Level 14: Let the ball go to hit the first egg, then move three clicks to the right. You have to decide if you want to keep that egg for a while. If not you can move one more click to the right to get the next one. If you get Long, or Catch it's safer to stick with them. If you get Gun, clear some of the grey blocks.
Level 15: Start three clicks to the left. This will clear the bricks in the two top quadrants and gove you both eggs. If you get Laser you can clear the bottom bricks, or Gun can help you clear some room. This one speeds up fast but it's good practice for the next level.
Level 16: U. You will need either Catch, Long or Gun (or a few lives). Catch is best but it takes a while to complete. You can also use the Gun to destroy the bottom three grey bricks but take care when it speeds up. There is only one easter egg so If you don't get a favourable option, may the force be with you beacuse level 16 only gives you one. As long as the ball is in play, let the bricks drop down - it makes it easier to keep the ball up.
Level 17: Start one click to the right, let the ball go then move two clicks to the right. This should send the ball up through the maze but this level gets fast very quickly. If you have lives in the bank it's best to let the ball go if you're in trouble and the sky is falling. Keep threading the ball back up the maze and hope you get a good bounce. You should be close to 10,000 now.
Level 18: Start one click to the left, move two clicks to the left. This is a tricky little bugger but if you can get past it the next one is simple.
Level 19: Thread it through the gap. The two eggs are the ones on the bottom. Laser won't help you here. 11,000 points now.
Level 20: Just get it up the chute. Both bricks are eggs.
Level 21: An excellent level for picking up more lives and loads of points. All of the bricks on the top shelf have easter eggs. Trouble is that some of the good options don't last if you pick them all up. Should be close to 12,000 now.
Level 22: Prayer based strategy - hit and hope. Usually costs me a life or two to get past this one.
Level 23: The one with bricks all over the show. Destroy one side of the bricks and thread the ball through to the middle section of the screen. The two eggs are in the top corners but hard to get to. Multi is a great option for this screen - or Gun to clear some room. This should get you to around 13,000. After that I haven't played the screens enough to have a solid approach.

Keep practising.

Level 24: Easter eggs on both bottom-most bricks so grab them early. This is another level with lots of eggs so you can usually count on grabbing some extra lives. Laser will only get you so far on this level. Keep the ball up high so you can stay in position to catch the eggs when they fall.
Level 25: The one with the grey box. No matter if you go left or right you'll probably have to send the ball up a few time before you get relief. If you get Laser take out the left and right side as quick as you can. If you can get the ball inside the grey bricks you'll get a few more eggs. Multi will really help you out on this one.
Level 26: This one has two tiers and there are no eggs in the bottom teir. You have to break through and let the ball do the work. If you can keep the ball alive long enough it will get mighty fast. Multi is another good option. Laser is useless and unless you get three or four of them Gun is too.
Level 27: Just like my father-in-law - simple and frustrating. Only one brick but it's well protected and it can take a while to thread it through the gap at the right angle. Should have around 14,500 points by now.
Level 28: A long line of bricks on the right and top. All the bricks have easter eggs. Laser will be your best bet early but after that take and stick with the option that will serve you best - Catch or Multi. Too close to throw it away now.
Level 29: Patience. Only four bricks and the first three have eggs. This one will get real fast real quick and there is little room for error. This level is key for Catch so you can slow it down. Laser or even Gun won't help you much.
Level 30: Only three bricks. The top two have easter eggs. I find it easier to get the well protected ones at the top if you let them come down a little. If you get Gun, get rid of the three grey blocks in the middle, it makes it so much easier.
Level 31. This is my nemesis. If you take too long to get the ball past mid level, the bricks drop and it becomes very difficult to thread the ball. This level usually trips me up. I've lost 6 or 7 lives on this level alone.

I don't subscribe to the "get rid of the lowest bricks first" strategy. I like to clear a side (left or right) to give enough space to keep knocking the ball into. Some screens are too large to complete without riding out the speed section. If you can stay alive until the ball slows down again, you're half way there.

Default Newly Hooked

Just started playing this game a week ago and I am already hooked. When I broke 2000 for the first time, I was ecstatic. Now I am up to a high score of 7350 and can't wait to break 10,000. Googled "brickbreaker" and stumbled across this forum. I can not believe the scores posted here! I have a long way to go.

Default Calling bullshit on all scores over 35,000

Okay i'm a total loser. i play this game all day and all night. Have for 3 years. i ignore my wife and kids. My high score is 30,355. That's getting all the way around on the 2nd time until you get to the dreaded level 31. (the 2-brick/horizontal line level)

So for anyone to say that they have 100,000 points and/or 25 lives or more are just lying. especially that dork below who claimed 300,000 after 3 weeks of playing.

Talking

I have version 4.0 with the 7280.
Just ended the game with a high score of 1,325,110. I had 71 lives left but the game started screwing up on me (not the first time) so I had to end it quickly. Last time this happened I had 1.2 million and 200+ lives but the game screwed up. Every shot I took just hit the wall and said try again, no loss of life, nothing. It was caught in a loop so I had to restart it. Took over 5 months to get a good game going. Its a piece of cake once you've gone twice around. I was on my 78th round when I had to end it. At least this time I have something to show for it. So for those non believers....you're just not good enough . Try a little harder.
