Default Story of things to come?

Please Login to Remove!

So after the T-Mobile site came back up today, and I got my 8700 back up and running, I noted that the default bookmarks had changed (for the better I might add). Included now is one that says "Install Instant Messaging". The link is null for the time being, but I'm wondering if T-Mobile has a real packet data IM client up their sleeve for the near future?

Anyone else's bookmarks change?

Ok, I extracted the link for the IM download, and it is:

http://www.t-mobile.com/BlackBerry8700gIM

It is still not viewable though.

<-----Crosses fingers that this is a full-blown packet-data based IM client.

I can hope so...but Yak-On is working for me great right now, though!! I like the multi-tabbed inteface and the global pop-ups. Yeah, paying 20 bucks might seem like a lot if TMO is giving it out for free...we'll just have to see!!

BTW...Was finally able to get into the BIS today....got some credit to my account...

I got in yesterday afternoon... didn't see any credit though. I had a ticket open, so hopefully they'll be nice to me.

I use Ramble because it's free, but would love something nicer.

I really really hope they've moved away from the SMS based IM program on the other units.

I had to ask for the credit...they asked me if I didn't get messages during the outage...credited my something like 60 cents per day for the 3 days I had messaging problem. I didn't get the sense that not being able to login to BIS was considered a credit...

I won't even bother for that little of money.
