Since upgrading by 7280 to BB OS4, I've boticed that the backlight is turned on during charging. I don't recall this happening before; is this new and can it be configured to not occur?

This may happen with certain versions of BlackBerryOS4. It does not happen with my BlackBerryOS 4.0.0.185.

It may also happen if you run the third party backlight utility that forces the backlight to stay on without timing out.

I noticed that too on my Verizon 7750 using the Telus 4.0. It doesn't bug me. What bugs me is the fact that if I'm on a call when I plug in the charger, it drops the call! You might want to check that before it surprises you.

I have a 7280 with 4.0.0.171 and the light does come on when I first plug it in, but I think it goes out after the timeout. I kind of like it actually.

put it in the holster and the light will turn off.
