Default Short Cut Program????

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know of a program that I can use for short cuts to other applications? I use Pocket Day and map keys to certain applications but I was wondering if there was something better. Thanks!

I am not aware of any program that allows you to change the key functionality.

Yup. I don't mind using the scroll wheel to get to apps but it just takes too many steps. Anyway, have you tried POCKet Day?

Nope but I hear support is great. There is a new competitor on the horizon too. I love BB weather and get my stock quotes from a bookmarked Yahoo page works really well for me. Can't remember the other features.

IMHO it is going to be hard to beat pocketday. I was able to hot key all of the apps I needed.

Using pocketday. Under settings there is a selection called "key mappings". Use that to assign a variety of uses for each key on your BB. You can even set a key to open a 3rd party application. For example, I have my "Q" key set to open berry411. If you have a 7100 version of a BB you can opnly use the first letter on the key (14 options). In the 7130e that gives you 16 total options when you count the "convenience" key and holding down a key for the keyboard lock (I use the "Z" key for this). This limits you somewhat. If you have a full qwerty keyboard then you have more options.

Thanks Corman! I do that with Pocket Day already. It is great. I thought you meant within the Blackberry OS there was a way to hot key apps... I just don't like the LOOK for PocketDay on the 8700. It looks "cheap" compared to the beautiful theme's of the 8700. I know, I know, I am a picky SOB!
