Has anyone had a good reaction from those on the other end of a call from an 8700c? I have to be in a dead quiet room and I mean no background noise before the person on the other end is not complaining. This is a huge problem for those of us who talk all the time walking places and in the car. Any ideas short of getting a new phone for a phone?

My friend has the 8700c and I can always hear him fine, it does seem to pick up alot of background noise but not more then other cellphones.

Try upgrading the Os to Bharti or another one for enhanced phone functions. Search the forum and you will get lots of details on this.

I use a wired Etymotic headset with a custom earbud. Etymotic now provides windscreens free of charge. It sounds great and no background noise whatsoever...I find a headset is preferable when using a Blackberry anyways...allows you to type on the device while talking...

I use a bluetooth headset (Motorola H820) with my 8700 on Bharti. Never had a complaint, in fact listeners feel it is better than my old Motorola V600 using the same bluetooth headset.
