The easiest way would be to call your provider. They can easily fix your issue. If the CSR says they cant ask for a more capable CSR or tier 2 support. If you can, try a search on voice mail. There was a post a while back that also gave a code to enter to extend the number of rings. But IMO the easiest way is to just call your provider.

Cingular recommends not extending the ring time beyond 25 seconds to avoid being charged for unanswered calls. I have an 8700 and the default time was 20 seconds. I contacted Cingular and they increased the time to 25 seconds with no problem.

I need 5 seconds between the hours of 0600-1430 can they do that? I hate being on a call and my BB starts ringing its arse off.

A search would have answered this, but here you go:

On your phone dial:

*61*+1XXXXXXXXXX*11*tt#

Where XXXXXXXXXX is your market's VM number and tt is the time in seconds you want the phone to ring for. I believe valid range is 1-30!

Example for NYC market with longest ringtime:

*61*+19084630020*11*30#

Just type it in and hit send/call and you should get some sort of confirmation message.

5 second increments. 30 second max.
