I use Outlook and Redirector and recently had to get a replacement 7290 from t-mobile. Up until I got my new blackberry, my messages would get marked as read in Outlook (my pst file) when i synced up after reading them on my device. The same was true the other way as well, if they had been read (or marked that way) in Outlook, they would get marked as read on the blackberry.

On my new device I can't get this functionality to work. I've scoured the forums high and low and can't see anything about this. I've tried setting mailbox wins / device wins to no avail. Also played with the 'mark messages read when:' setting in Outlook. Not sure what I'm missing. Any help would be greatly appreacited.

try this: messages > options > email reconciliation > wireless reconcile > on. We have BES here, so not sure if this will work on the redirector. Please let us know if that works.

I've never done enterprise activiation on my device so I don't have a wireless reconciliation option...thanks though, any other ideas?

Bought an 8700 and reinstalled the desktop software. It's fixed. Easy solution.

We had a similar issue with some of our users using Outlook 2003. Even after a reconcile now the users email was still showing unread on the desktop. Because it uses cached mode you have to make sure to force an update of the outlook client. F9 should fix that as well. As long as you make sure you are reconciling the email correctly it should be working.
