Default Service Transaction Not Found

Please Login to Remove!

I am getting this error on the server and the handhelds lose connectivity. Rebooting the server seems to solve the problem, but what is the cause?
I can't seem to google or search on the error code on the RIM site.

Question Me too

I have checked the event viewer today and I am getting the following in the event viewer on the server:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: BlackBerry Router
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10000
Date: 21/06/2006
Time: 10:08:37
User: N/A
Computer: removed
Description:
[SERVICE_RELAY_SESSION:Sxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Service transaction not found. SERVICESESSION_TAG=462042

I have not yet rebooted as it takes about 20 minutes to get back up and working again.

Anybody know what this error means?

Someone programmed all these darn error messages into the blackberry server code....it'd be nice if there was a PDF explaining them all....otherwise, what's the point?

Question Me too 2

I've come across this one as well, running BES for Domino. The BES router logs it as:

"[10000] (07/05 11:33:12):{0x144} [SERVICE_RELAY_SESSION:Sxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Service transaction not found. SERVICESESSION_TAG=560661"

I've then found entries with the same tag number (560661) in the dispatcher log

"[30222] (07/05 11:14:50):{0x91C} {Doe, John} MFH: contentType=CMIME, sizeOTA=178, sizeOTW=225, TransactionId=xxxxxxxxx, Tag=560661
[30308] (07/05 11:14:50):{0x91C} [BIPP] {Doe, John} Forwarding data to BES Agent, size=262, intTag=422859, Tag=560661"

and

"[30311] (07/05 11:33:11):{0x944} {Doe, John} Forwarding status to relay, intTag=422859, Tag=560661, Status=1"

although I've no idea if these are relevant since RIM's admin course doesn't go into tracing these things through the logs.

Post "Service Transaction Not Found" - explanation

Finally received the following explanation via our reseller:

"This log line means that packets are being dropped after authentication
has occurred. Look for evidence of irregular network activity either at
the customers end or with their ISP, issues can be in routers, hubs or
switches or even the BES servers NIC."
