Default Will FIDO get BLACKBERRY soon?

Please Login to Remove!

No one probably has an answer but you never know.... Can anyone hazard a guess as to when FIDO will get the BLACKBERRY? FIDO is even set up for WEBCLIENT and has been for a while....................

My guess would be never. Now that they have been absorbed by Rogers, I don't think Rogers would see the point in duplicating that service. I can see a time when the Fido brand will disapear altogether.

It is interesting that they have a BWC site set up though.

I'm hearing grumblings that Fido won't even be around for much longer...so my guess is they won't get Blackberry.

why get mad about it, you asked a question and got an answer. Believe me, any "grumblings" heard by these guys usually have some degree of truth to it!!!!

Marketing to what? BB are seen as business devices. Fido tends to be seen as a personnal carrier. From a merketing point of view, BBs are not a 'Fido device'.

It's a shame though, because was a pionneer in the industry in Canada. First with GSM. Singlehandedly responsible for the affordability of cell phones in this country. If they were still on their own, they'd probably have BB plans priced to blow the socks off the other carrires. OTOH, the merging with Rogers gives a truly solid GSM network in Canada.

Doubt it. Now that Rogers owns it, I think they are keeping Fido as a no frills cell service. No frills wouldn't include BlackBerry. As other's have said, I hear that Fido will be gone soon. Although, I too have seen the BES site for Fido.

It's not going to happen seeing the carry that HipTop toy. Fido at this point is added coverage to the Robbers network and somewhat of their consumer line of products. At some point Robbers will more than likely fase the FIDO name out.
