Are you inside or outside when this happens? GPS is basically line of site to the sky, so if you can't look up and see the stars, neither can your phone or GPS receiver.

I am also getting this error - I was standing outside staring damn near at the sun with no luck - however when I used mologogo it went and got a signal - however the blackberry itself would not get a signal in the refresh screen.

What could this be? Is it service books? Handheld software? Any thoughts and suggestions here would be greatly aprreicated...

Phone GPS receivers are a POS. We all need to hope that no one uses this to find us in an emergency!

Thanks for your input there - though anything but informative - anyone else have this issue or any idea how to fix it?

I'm using the 8800 with a built-in GPS but also seeing this problem. Still figuring out what's the problem.
