I'm sure I'm not the only person using Outlook and a BlackBerry (!). I'd like to know how others are getting around this problem.

At our site we have and Exchange Global Address List with all staff listed here. This changes regularly. Most staff also keep external contact details within their Contacts folder in Outlook.

What I'm trying to do it automatically synchronise both to the BlackBerry without one merging into the other.

The PIM manager can only sync with one at a time so I don't know how to do this. so far I have been manually importing both contacts list using Backup/Restore but this is far from ideal when the contact list on Exchange, Outlook and even the BlackBerry change often.

Has anyone successfully managed to sync these two contact lists and not have everything horribly merged at the same time?

PS: great forum. Have been using BB's for a few years and administer the BES at our site. Just replaced my 7290 with a shiney new 7100x. Not bad but prefer the default theme.

I've generally found that using Lookup in the Address Book works well. I'll keep people I email constantly in my Address Book, but everyone else in the company is found via Lookup on an as-needed basis. Of course, I'm assuming you have a BES.

ie. is there a setting on bes 4.0 to specify any particular public contact folder to lookup?
