I'm a noobie and just got my first 7290 thorugh Cingular. The service is great, but for some reason I can't get my old e-mail (pre BB) to show up on my 7290. Is there a way I can get them to show up there since the e-mails in my Inbox are usually my "to-do" list?

The BlackBerry does not sync the Inbox from Outlook; it forwards e-mails that have been recevied after the BB was set up. There is no way to sync the old e-mails (unless you want to resend them to yourself).
