Preface: I have carried with just about every US carrier out there, all the way back to the pre-PCS days.

I've been w/ Cingular for the last couple of years, and started doing a furious amount of research when I determined that I needed a PDA/Phone Combo again. I used to carry a Treo 600, have tried out various PPC devices, and once carried a 7290 until it became too expensive to maintain service.

Picking a device was one thing, picking a carrier was quite another. I will never go back to Sprint, and I grudgingly carried Cingular because the network is/was solid, despite what I perceived as crappy customer service.

For three days now, I've been with T-Mobile, on an 8700g, and I cannot be happier. The device is fine, everything works, but I am so impressed with TMo's support and customer service. They actually sound happy to hear from customers - more importantly, they sound happy working there. They're helpful, the IVR is put together well and the callback from queue system works perfectly.

I have a minor gripe with their website being a bit error-plagued today, but I'm guessing that's temporary.

TMo, if they stay this good, will continue to earn my money. Oh yeah...less money than Cingular.
