On the last episode of Punk'd, Sugar Ray Leonard's son was using a 7105t to call his dad to get Punk'd.

This thread merely carries entertainment value. No one is basing their life decisions on which celebrity is using which BB.

I saw Nicole Ritchie as some fashion show/benefit holding a 8700c.

It seems to me that many celebrities are replacing their sidekick's with 8700s.

I'm not so interested in who is running BB handhelds or not. But what I am curious in (oddly enough) is what celebs are running BES Servers and if any *cough*?*TOM_CRUISE*!*cough are running their own provide Microsoft Exchange servers with BES.

Sure one could use BIS, or go with the hosted route. But I wonder if any are concerned enough with privacy to pay someone to run their own personal BES server? I think that would be cool. Call me weird.

In the movie "Just My Luck" (my wife dragged me to it...), the record producer tells one of the characters "I sent you a message about it on your blackberry!" He replies "I don't have a blackberry." Producer shouts to his staff "Get than man a blackberry right away!"

I've often wondered that myself. I didn't want to admit it because it seems weird. But, if I had their kind of dough, I'd TOTALLY run my own ME and BES.

There is a TV show on VH1, can't think of the title, but it has Tori Spelling as the main character, and she is using a BlackBerry in it. There was actually an episode based on her losing her BlackBerry and her freaking out about it. I'm not sure which it was, but I think it was one of the 'SureType' BB's.

A lot of these folks use agents and PR firms. I would be willing to bet that a lot of these celebrities have their BlackBerries connected via their representation's BES.

That makes sense to me. That would be a lot less hassle for the celeb' and a pretty valuable bit of service.

I second this and confirm this notion. My sister used to work for the TV stations and Big TV corps, and she told me alot of these stars/actors and famous people all use their agents to help them setup their services. most of them would have special IT staff that can seutp their email internally by their agents or PR firm, or have it so they ahve their own dedicated email server for their own domain or website, or just be redirected.

Though she doesn't know if they specifically bought a BES server or not, but i think most of them would try to go through that route to get a BES server, if they are savy and use the blackberry's for their calendars, task and email . It just makes perfect sense.

Default Bones

On a recent episode of Bones, the main character appears to be using an 8700, but she's used Treos on past episodes as well.

A hearing rather than a sighting:

On the radio morning show I listen to, they talk to Mary Hart of Entertainment Tonight every week. Last week Hart was at Cannes, so instead they had Jann Carl on the show. At the end of the segment the DJ told Carl that they wanted Hart to bring souveniers back for them. Carl replied, "I'll Blackberry her right now."

The Hilton sisters and I have a mutual friend and we often go out together whenever they are in town. They both have 8700c's in their bags with them at all times, paris also uses the notorious side kick and also has a pink Razr, Nicky just has the 8700c and someother tmobile Motorola, not sure why the want to carry all of those devices, but they do.
