Default Uncaught Exception net.rim.vm. VMError????

Please Login to Remove!

I have got hold of a brand new BB 7230 & i am trying to upgrade it to the latest firmware.
when i put in my SIM card & startup the phone.... at startup it shows me an error ."Uncaught Exception net.rim.vm. VMError"
after that i cant register the handset & i dont get the browser icon as well.
when i try to load the new firmware..it does not show on thru BB Desktop.

Anyone know what i can do?

it simply says.. No System Software was found for your device.

Can you define "got hold of" and "brand new" ......?

From where, and are you sure??

Sounds like you need to upgrade OS by going to your operators site. Is that what you mean by firmware?

What is the version of the desktp manager. what is the version of the OS you are trying to install, did you remove the vendor.xml file from your pc? we need more details.

Sounds like you didn't install the actual handheld software on the computer, or it was from a different vendor than the handheld was originally purchased from.

Figure out what vendor the BlackBerry was originally sold by, go to their website and download the handheld software. Install it, and you should have no issues when going through application loader.

yes this is an O2 branded phone & i was trying to install the Bhatri OS... yes ur right i did forget to remove the verder.xml (opps my mistake)
anyways downloaded the O2's latest OS for it.

i have the latest Desktop Software on my PC (4.1)

I have finally loaded the O2's latest OS on it & now i'm going to wait for it to power up & see what happens..
