Is there any way to limit the number of call logs that are kept? Just did an upgrade and there were over 2600 call logs that it had to backup and restore. I can't imagine needing more than a couple hundred, tops.

You can manually delete them every few weeks. I dont understand why RIM didnt put a life timer on these like everything else. Would be nice to have anything over 30 automatically deleted.

Does anyone actually use these call logs past something like the past 30 or somethign?

Never seen anyone use really use them for anything, not to say that some dont. All I know is those logs can make reactivating someone wirelessly take HOURS.

I use the call logs to take notes while on the call and then I email them to myself so I have them for later.

I'm sure that anyone monitoring/spying on an individual would love to go through a years worth of call logs on their BlackBerry. To me it is just crazy that the phone stores that much information.

I discovered the hassle of the call logs when my first BB died. EA took an ungodly amount of time. Since then, I make it a habit to empty the folder for calls and DC once every 2 weeks.
