| 2nd BB? Please Login to Remove! I was answering a post about a problem I have (or had) with my new BB. It went like this:
I have the same problem of the hourglass coming on. Problem is it is all it does now! I have had this unit for only about a week.
Have been in love with it until this morning. For the past week the battery have performed normally. Last night I put it on the charger (it was about 65%) and this morning I unplugged it and fire it up.
Nothing!
Pressed the power plug again........nothing!
Did it again..........THIS CAN"T BE HAPPENING! I LOVE THIS THING!
So I plug back into the charger and the hourglass starts WHEW! maybe just a glich. Right?
NOPE. The system booted up and said that my battery was 0%. So I take it to the store for warrenty service and they put in a fresh battery in my unit out of another BB. SAME THING! 0% on the Battery status and a red battery icon on the ribbon.
THIS IS TERRIBLE!
Now I have to wait until probably next Tuesday to get a replacement.
Anybody had this problem?
I am seriously considering buying another unit to keep as a standby so that I am not HELPLESS in life during the time it might be gone out on repairs. Anyone else have similar thoughts?
Well for $149 an unit, $100 deductable and $50 a battery, it just doens't make sence not to get another one. So I did. Anyone else see the logic here? |
