If I use the javaloader -wipe command does it erase everything on the BB or just the applications, but leaves the platform? For example, if one attempted to load the 7230 platform onto a 7290 or vice versa would java loader wipe this out?

It nukes the entire device - - wipes it clean. You will need to reload the OS and everything else ...

JavaLoader will completely format the BlackBerry. When complete, you will have no OS, no applications, no user data. Nothing. Sorry, you can not load 7290 OS onto a 7230 device, or vise versa. There are checks in place that restrict loading the incorrect OS.

Other than size restrictions on the 7230 (16mb vs 32 on the 7290) and the setup of the Platform.alx, what other checks are in place to ensure not loading the incorrect platform?
