Default Neverending reminder?

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to change the duration of the calendar reminders? (I am not talking about the time when the reminder goes off.)

I want my BlackBerry to vibrate/beep at me until I push a button to force me to look at my appointments. I have missed meetings because I was away from my BB for a short time and the reminder went off without me knowing.

Basically I want to set separate alarm clocks for each appointment in my calendar where I have to manually dismiss the reminder before it stops reminding me!

Help?

You can set you preference options through the profiles. Home screen -> Profiles.

Even when editing the Profiles the maximum number of beeps is 3 (I want more if possible). And the only option for repeat notification is "LED Flashing" when I would prefer continued beeps...

I've been begging for a reminder chirp also. I hate that if you miss the initial alert then there is no reminder after that. Makes you have to keep the thing with you everywhere you go (shower, crapper etc...)

Default no answer?

Does anyone have a solution for this problem? Is there some 3rd party software that can make this continuous reminder happen?

Quiet post so far...

webmessenger

it works but it is not sensitive to the alerts profiles

this should have been a standard feature in BB devices.

you could always compress a ringtone to the maximum amount, thus allowing for more time. depending on your solution, this could be 512KB in size - or more if you are able to configure your maximum download size on a BES (i have ours set at 1024KB), or less if you are with a carrier who limits the download sizes. anyhow, set this to 3 rings and you could have quite a bit of time. it wouldn't be limitless, but it could be in the neighborhood of a few minutes, with the right combination of all of the above. i will see if i can test this theory out at some point (or if someone else wants to give it a go, be my guest ...i'm pretty busy these days).
