Default Wireless synch wipes out handheld entries

Please Login to Remove!

Using the Desktop Manager, if I select the synchronize option under the Config PIM and then turn on the wireless sync on the handheld, all entries in the calendar from today onwards get wiped out on the handheld. All wireless sync settings on the handheld except Messages are turned off.

At the moment, I just do an import sync to update my handheld calendar. What should I do to make all the wireless sync'ing work properly (i.e. calendar, address book, tasks, etc)? I have a 7290 btw with OS 4.0.2.49.

Are you using a BES? Bluetooth? How are you trying to do a wireless sync?

Default Yes, corporate BES

No bluetooth. I use the usb cable to connect to my pc and do my import (from Groupwise calendar to handheld calendar). I turned off wireless sync for the hh calendar due to the problem mentioned in my original post. Only the hh messages are sync remotely (wireless).

If you are on BES 3.6, then you can ONLY sync Calendar wireless; if you are on BES 4.0 or higher, you can sync calendar, contacts, notes and tasks...
