Default Cingular: We need a Yahoo solution!!

Please Login to Remove!

I have tried all the programs and all the advise on this site (very helpful), but none of the solutions work for me.

I have downloaded the Yahoo app off of Blackberry site, but Cingular does not support it.

I purchased IM+ and now I cant get it formatted again.

I tried the Miranda and PSI solutions and I can not get them to work as well.

I have Google but no one to talk to. I really need the Yahoo app. Can anybody help.

Cingular 7290.

There's a way to get Google to work with other IM systems (required Miranda or a similar app on your PC to set up). You'll have to do some searching as I don't recall where I ran across this information.

I also would like something. Wish the Blackberry Yahoo IM would work on Cingular.......but like always Cingular does not seem to listen and is VERY slow to support the 8700... (no os updates, BIS not upgraded yet and no yahoo) I dont even think they support the BB IM (but it does work)

Probably the best bet is to send and email or call Cingular directly. Not sure that will do any good but at least they might see this is an important feature to us.

Why can't you get IM+ working? Have you spoken to their support?

I have contacted the IM+ support and they point me back to Cingular to add a data connect plan. Cingular is confused by that request and hits some keys and says "your all set". Then I try soft reset and no go. I have followed all the instructions for set up but its being blocked for some reason.

Yes you need the right data plan, so you need to work through this.

I finally have it working...But I am not sure what did it. I have done sooooo much.

I had to reset my registration #. change config to TCP/IP, default, 443, use SSL for TCP.

Called cingular....not need to pay more just make sure all the WAP settings are included.
