I have an unlocked 8700r and am on a hosted BES (exchangemymail.com).
I can no longer take the data charges from Rogers, and a friend of mine has so kindly offered to to set me up on his Cingular account with just Data (unlimited local & unlimited International packages) on my 8700r.

I was just wondering if Iam going to have to wipe my 8700r with the Rogers info on it first before the Cingular service will work?
I just wondered what the steps are that Iam going to have to take to get
Cingular services upand running on my 8700r

Nope -- no need to wipe unless you just want to or you think it will go smoother with a wipe. If you use BIS you'll want to make sure to have your Rogers BIS account deleted and dis-associated from your 8700r. You might run into a service book issue but if that happens, just delete them and have them pushed to the handheld.
