What could cause intermittent loss of email using basic pop3 in BWC. Sometimes mail is pulled and other times it isn't. Suggestions?

what do you mean by intermittent?

The BWC retrieves messages from your POP3 client every 15 - 60 minutes. This period can not be changed.

If you want faster email access, see if you can forward your email messages to your blackberry.net account.

could you have fliters setup in BWC? that could prevent some email from delivering to your BB.

Nope this is a brand new install. Also, initially, the user had his laptop w/outlook running so each time an email came in it never made it to the BB. I checked "leave on server" and it was resolved..........for a while..now the emails are intermittent...

Check your REdirect settings on his laptop, it might be conflicting with the BWC POP "leave on server" settings

Intermittent can mean that you're downloading it using Outlook before you downloaded to the BlackBerry.

Are you sure that Outlook isn't downloading the emails before the BlackBerry is, or does this even happen when you're not running Outlook?

I have been having intermittent receive problems also. I use BWC to pull email from my hotmail account (don't even have internet access on home computer, so no Outlook) and I've been having sporadic delivery failures (email in inbox but not on device) for the past two weeks. This isn't the first time this issue has been reported. It seems to be felt across many carriers, so I believe it's a BWC problem.

Additional problem: Just this morning, an email was sent to my @nextel.blackberry.net address at 9am -- didn't receive it until I sent out an email at 10:50! I'm going to create a separate thread about this issue, so pardon the double-post ...
