hello, i need to know something, and im asking your help, i have searched, but what i find, doesnt clear my doubts, so heres the story :

i had a nextel i560, i bought on ebay a bb 7520 also from nextel, now, i went to nextel, to get some info. i told them i wanted the data service plan on my nextel, also asked if i take the SIM card of the i560, and put it in another nextel phone, was it going to work ? she said yes, also asked, what about a blackberry, she said, as long as it is compatible, so well.. now i use the bb i read about the sim address book, that it wasnt going to show on the bb, i upgraded to 4.1, to copy sim address book to phone, ok, so i tried the internet on my old phone the i560, it worked, i tried in the bb, and it doesnt work, something else i have to do ? ive searched every option in the bb, and in here i did a lot of search... also i cannot see the bb browser, so i downloaded the trial of minuet, and no i cannot connect to any site...

well thanks 4 your time, i apreciate your help. bye

Which data plan did you sign up for, a regular or a Blackberry data plan? No BB Plan = No Data Service on BB!

Hope this helps.

Verify you have uppercase NXTL on your handheld and try sending yourself a PIN to PIN message. Really quick way to test if your on the network.

If this doesn't work, take the battery out for a couple seconds, reinsert, wait for the handheld to boot back up to homescreen with uppercase NXTL. Once it's up and rocking, go in to Options -> Host Routing Table -> click the scroll wheel and choose Register Now. You should get a registration message. Back all the way out, verify that you have a message in your messages app that say Registration. Retry the PIN to PIN. If all this fails then you either don't have a data plan or your data plan isn't active/set up right.

well, ok thanks, i did that, didnt work, i just got back from nextel, they told me that it wasnt going to work, b/c they dont have BB's on there net, so the guy from their tech support comes out, starts asking me bunch of questions, that i supposed he had to know, he even told me to visit idenphones.motorola.com, i was like, a BB is not motorola, but i didnt tell him, also he said that i went to the "enterprise activation" and put my yahoo or hotmail in there... so when he told me that i didnt think he knew what to do with it, so thanks for everything, i guess i have no use for this BB then.

bye now thanks !!!

Default New thing

so, saturday morning (today) i got a message, saying that the wireless handheld had been succesfully registered and the NOL icon appeared, so i tried surfing on the web, i get an error, i try sendin myself a pin message, i get error too. if you have the time i would like if you could visit my site where i have pictures of the errors i get and to let you know some new things that appeared on the HRT option, and the Network option, and dont know what else more, please check them out, and let me know what i can do, supposedly nextel doesnt have that service, so i dont know where im getting this "network" also notice that this first post my bb said NXTl, and now it says NXTL... so that is ok also... here are the pics, a little bit big... but thanks to you all, bye

Looking at those pictures I'm going to stick with my original assessment. Your handheld isn't properly set up. I would call Nextel and ask for technical support. The guy in the store isn't going to be able to do much for you, especially when they tell you to put your yahoo account in your enterprise activation.
