FYI, but it appears that the BB Messenger now works with our service. I downloaded the OTA version today and used my PIN to test the connection. I received the test message so it looks like it may be working for us!

I had not downloaded the program b/c of the disclaimer that it would not work w/Cingular however after seeing another posting that it did work I decided to try it out

Old news, I've been using it for a long time now, it has always worked. For this lack of Cingular support just means don't ask CS about it, they will just go Duh. Not like YM for BB where they have blocked it.

I should go back to my beta testing days and not accept a disclaimer as a reason for not trying something. I never even tried the app, I assumed the disclaimer as being accurate.

Actually the disclaimer is perfectly accurate. Cingular will not support BB IM at this time, their CS reps won't have any information for diagnosing problems with it. There is no mention in the disclaimer that it may be blocked as there is with the YM for BB download disclaimer.

Yes Amilio. BlackBerry Messenger uses PIN numbers to send messages. This avoids extra messages in your inbox.
