Default 32 MB memory (4 MB SRAM) vs. 16 MB memory (2 MB SRAM)

How much difference can you see (menu lag, boot time, multi-tasking, ect...) when comparing 32 MB memory (4 MB SRAM) vs. 16 MB memory (2 MB SRAM) ?

I don't notice much difference at all(7280 vs 7290). Main difference is in storage capacity.

I agree with Roofus. I do think that 4.0 will stress the memory requirements quite a bit....

You think? I know. I honestly think that 16 megs is an absolute MINIMUM for OS 4.0, it hardly gives a useful footprint of free space for storage of more applications, pictures, or e-mail..

i'm definatfely looking forward to upgrading to a 32 meg (or higher) device in the near future, perhaps though by the next model after 7290.

That's for starting my day off with a smile. No, I don't think there are any memory hacks.

We run OS4 .185 with idokorro mobile admin package and verichat and have more than 3mb left. That's with about 20-30 pics stored on my device and an avg of about 300-400 emails. That doesn't seem too bad to me
