Default ? on nextel 7520

i just put my nextel sim in my 7520 beacuse my dad said i can get the data plan and everyone told me that it automaticly adds on. but i still cant send emails. the phone is registered with boost if that is a probem. and it says NXTL by the service bar.

You won't be able to send messages without the BB plan. If the SIM is a Boost SIM you're going to need to get a Nextel SIM and add the plan.
